Z1438 Federal Regulation 1839 Pattern Waist Belt Plate with Leather Patch
Description: Here is a very nice excavated waist belt plate with the original leather patch on the back. The leather patches were originally intended to keep the lead from wearing off on the buff belts. This one still retains it's original shape and curve. The face exhibits an even brown tone with some lighter highlights. The back retains nearly all of the lead solder with some small freeze cracks here and there. The stud assembly is made out of brass.
Measures: 57mm x 88mm
